Synopsis

After a prayer session at the Aurorium, Lara-Le heads home and finds his son, Knuckles, waiting for her. He explains to Lara-Le that he returned home by creating a strange energy tunnel and asks her if she understands how he did it. She explains that Locke must have done something while he was still an egg, as he hatched in a third of the time that most echidnas do. Within a few months it was clear that Knuckles was extremely intelligent. Locke began training him at the age of three and, frustrated that she had no say in her child's upbringing, Lara-Le spoke with her mother-in-law, Jenna-Lu. Trying to follow her advice, Lara realized she was unable.
